Golf Opens New Mortgage Office in Eugene

Mountlake Terrace, Washington - June 14, 2007--Golf Savings Bank, a subsidiary of Sterling Financial Corporation, has opened a new mortgage lending office in Eugene, Oregon.

Lori Adeniji will serve as Branch Manager and is joined by loan officers Shabbir Panni and Sheila Miller.

Golf Savings Bank has 29 home mortgage lending offices throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and in Utah.  This marks the tenth Oregon office for Golf. The others include Ashland, Bend, Clackamas, Coos Bay, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Lake Oswego, Medford and Roseburg.

Golf's Oregon Vice President and Oregon Regional Manager, Mary Linton, cited the Eugene area as a great growth opportunity for her company.

"As we expand in Oregon, Eugene represents an important hub for us and our mortgage operation," Linton remarked.  "We're fortunate to have a manager and loan officers in Eugene who are familiar with the area, the people and the market. We're looking forward to helping the people in this area find the right home loan programs."

The new office is located at 450 Country Club Road, Suite #170.

In the past year, Golf has opened several new offices in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, including the Lake Oswego location, which also houses the company's Oregon administrative offices.

Golf, headquartered in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, is a 26-year old company and became part of the Sterling Financial Corporation in 2006.
