MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. – December 15, 2009 – Creative bankers turned bakers and the results will help put smiles on some faces this holiday season, thanks to employees of Golf Savings Bank.

Hosted by Golf’s Banking and Loan Servicing team employees, the bake sale, cake auction and pie throwing event brought in a total of $2532. The recipients were Christmas House (a non-profit organization that provides low income parents in Snohomish County to select holiday gifts for their children) and Northwest Harvest food bank.

Donn Costa of Golf Savings Bank acknowledged the great effort by Michele Redland and her team for coming up with this idea and noted that Christmas House expects to serve over 10,000 kids throughout the holiday season. “Our employees are involved in many charitable endeavors throughout the year; this comes at such an important time for so many,” he commented.

It’s the first of what Golf hopes to be an annual event.
